HC Deb 30 April 1936 vol 311 c1089
48. Miss WARD

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the House will be given an opportunity of discussing the financial proposals of the North Atlantic Shipping Act before the Government agree to the Cunard-White Star Line taking advantage of the provisions contained in the Bill?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

The financial provisions of the North Atlantic Shipping Act have already been discussed before the Act was passed into law, and I do not think it would be possible to give special facilities for repeating that discussion.

Miss WARD

In view of the unsatisfactory nature of the reply, I beg to give notice that I shall raise this question at the earliest opportunity.
