asked the President of the Board of Trade whether he is aware that in the village of Stillington in the county of Durham, blast furnaces, coke ovens, and by-product plants have been scrapped which formerly employed from 580 to 640 men; and whether he will consider some means whereby this idle plant might be utilised for purposes of defence?

I understand that the plant referred to was dismantled several years ago, and that only a few buildings of little value are left.
