HC Deb 28 April 1936 vol 311 c709
14. Mr. HARDIE

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether, in view of the interest and anxiety regarding the price of milk in Scotland, he will publish the impartial report of the committee of investigation on the subject?

Sir G. COLLINS

The disputes which have been the subject of inquiry by the committees of investigation on the terms of the contracts for 1935–36 raise questions of general interest in the marketing position of milk in England and Wales and in Scotland respectively, and for the reasons given by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries yesterday I have, in the special circumstances, arranged for the publication at an early date of the report of the committee of investigation for Scotland as an exceptional case.
