Resolved, That—

  1. (a) for the purpose of any calculation required to be made in connection with the Post Office Fund as respects the current financial year, the fixed contribution to the Exchequer shall be taken to be the sum of ten million seven hundred and fifty thousand pounds;
  2. (b) it is expedient to make provision for the payment in advance to the Post Office Fund out of the Consolidated Fund during any financial year of such amounts as the Treasury think fit on account of the sum which it is estimated will become payable to the Post Office Fund in respect of that financial year."—(King's Recommendation signified)—[Mr. Chamberlain,]
