HC Deb 22 April 1936 vol 311 cc129-30
5. Mr. VYVYAN ADAMS

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he can now give the House any information as to the progress of Staff Conversations between this country, France, and Belgium?

Mr. EDEN

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given yesterday by the Prime Minister to similar questions by my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for Penrith and Cockermouth (Captain Dower) and the hon. Member for Wolverhampton, East (Mr. Mander).

Mr. LEWIS

Will the right hon. Gentleman consider the advisability of laying before the League of Nations our own proposals so that the whole world may see who desires to make collective security effective and who, by delay, desires the contrary?
