HC Deb 08 April 1936 vol 310 c2763
35. Mr. C. S. TAYLOR

asked the Secretary of State for the Colonies whether he has considered the representations sent from prominent Trinidad citizens, including elected members of the legislative council, in regard to the subject of a quota for foreign condensed milk imported into Trinidad and for a further increase in duties on this product; and what steps he proposes to take in this matter?

Mr. J. H. THOMAS

No representations have been addressed to me from Trinidad on the subject. The matter is, however, receiving consideration, and I understand that the Board of Trade are in communication with trade interests concerned in this country.
