asked the Secretary for Mines the names and positions held by the personnel of the Mines Central Welfare, London, and also the names and positions held by district staffs?

I will, with the hon. Member's permission, circulate in the OFFICIAL, REPORT a statement of the numbers and grades of those employed by the Miners' Welfare Committee and also, in so far as I have the information, by the district committees.

Staff employed by District Welfare Committees.

On the information available the District Committees employ 31 secretaries, about 70 clerical workers and five outdoor workers. In addition, most of the District Committees receive a grant for office expenses which may include some clerical assistance.
