§ The PRIME MINISTERThe answer is in the affirmative. There has always been a systematic devolution of the work of these offices as in every branch of the public service. The recent increases in the staff of the Committee of Imperial Defence, and more particularly the appointment of a Deputy-Secretary to the Committee of Imperial Defence, have enabled further relief to be given to the Secretary.
