§ Mr. E. BROWNAt 1st October, 1931, the number of wage-earners on the colliery books in Great Britain was 823,500. At 12th October, 1935, the corresponding total was 748,100.
§ Mr. T. WILLIAMSMay I ask whether between now and 14th November these figures will be placarded before the country?
§ Mr. BROWNIf that were done we should also have to placard the figures between May, 1929, and October, 1931, which show a decline in the number of employed of 114,000.
