HC Deb 30 May 1935 vol 302 c1278
Mr. GROVES

asked the Home Secretary whether his attention has been called to the statement of a magistrate at a meeting of the Devon Public Health Committee, on 3rd April, that unless he was really satisfied that the parents were conscientious objectors to vaccination he refused to sign; and whether he will call the attention of magistrates to the fact that they have no right to inquire into the validity of the grounds of objection to vaccination on the part of parents making statutory declarations under the Vaccination Act, 1907?

Sir J.GILM0UR

My attention had not previously been called to this statement. If the hon. Member will send me full particulars, I will inquire into the matter.
