Mr. HALESasked the Under-Secretary of State for Air whether, when selecting sites for the establishment of air service factories, he will consider the suitability of the neighbourhood of Stoke-on-Trent, which is situate on the main route from London to the north and offers exceptional facilities for the location of such a factory, which will have the additional advantage of being in close proximity to the Meir aerodrome, one of the finest aerodromes in this country?
§ Sir V. WARRENDERThe question of the location of sites for aircraft factories is primarily one for the firms concerned. My hon. Friend may like to place himself in communication with the Society of British Aircraft Constructors in regard to this matter.
