§ The FINANCIAL SECRETARY to the TREASURY (Mr. Duff Cooper)I beg to move, in page 12, line 7,at the end, to insert:
(7) In the application of this Section to Scotland for the definition of local authority 'the following definition shall besubstituted:'local authority' has the same meaning as in the Local authorities Loans (Scot land) Act, 1891.This is really a drafting Amendment. The Clause as it stands, would not apply 1272 to the local authorities of Scotland. The object of the Amendment is to remedy that omission.
