HC Deb 16 May 1935 vol 301 c1887
53. Mr. CHORLTON

asked the Minister of Transport whether he has yet given his final assent to the plans for the removal of the dangerous railway bridge at Miles Platting Station; and, if so, when can the work commence?

Captain A. HUDSON

Yes, Sir. My hon. Friend is to-day informing the high way authority that he is prepared, subject to the usual conditions, to make a grant of 75 per cent. towards the cost of the reconstruction of this bridge. He understands that the work can be commenced within four months of the date upon which the scheme is finally approved.
