Mr. STANLEYThe present expenditure on unemployment benefit, unemployment assistance allowances and Poor Law relief to the able-bodied within the scope of Part II of the Unemployment Act, 1934, for whom the Unemployment Assistance Board have not already become responsible, including cost of administration, is at the rate of about £107,000,000 a year, or approximately £2,050,000 a week.
