HC Deb 16 May 1935 vol 301 c1869
24. Mr. HUTCHISON

asked the Minister of Health whether there is any shortage of bricklayers or bricks in connection with any of the housing operations now in progress; and, if there be such a shortage, whether any steps are being taken to make it good?

Sir H. YOUNG

I am not aware of any general shortage in the supply of bricks. I have received reports of some difficulty in obtaining bricklayers in a few districts. The matter is receiving my consideration in consultation with my right hon. Friend the Minister of Labour.
