§ 10. Mr. CHORLTONasked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether his attention has been called to the proposed amendment to the trade-mark law in China; and whether he will take the opportunity of making representations to the Chinese Government on the necessity of providing better protection to British trade marks in China?
§ Mr. EDENYes, Sir; His Majesty's Government have not awaited the occasion of the proposed amendment to make representations in the sense suggested. The amendment in fact appears to be an improvement on the existing law.
§ Mr. CHORLTONCan we have a little more information later?
§ Mr. EDENYes, but we have reason to think that the present difficulties will be met by this arrangement.
