§ Mr. RUNCIMANSo far applications for assistance have been received from 11 shipowners. These cover proposals to build 10 vessels aggregating 48,000 tons gross and 10 smaller vessels aggregating 8,000 tons gross. I hope that notification of approval, subject to the completion of the necessary documents, will be made to certain applicants at an early date.
