§ 5. "That, as from the sixteenth day of April, nineteen hundred and thirty-five, the duty of Customs chargeable on rice imported in the husk shall, instead of being charged 431 under Part I of the Import Duties Act, 1932, be charged under section one of the Ottawa Agreements Act, 1932, and shall be a duty at the rate of two-thirds of a penny per pound:
§ Provided that sub-section (2) of section one of the last-mentioned Act shall not apply in relation to the said duty.
§ And it is hereby declared that it is expedient in the public interest that this Resolution shall have statutory effect under the provisions of the Provisional Collection of Taxes Act, 1913."
