Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to extend by a further period of two years the period during which the powers of the Department of Agriculture for Scotland to prepare and settle schemes under the Land Drainage (Scotland) Act, 1930, may be exercised, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament of the expenses incurred by the Department during the aforesaid extended period so far as those expenses are not recovered in the manner provided by the said Act of 1930."—(King's Recommendation signified.)—[Sir G.
