HC Deb 21 March 1935 vol 299 c1377
47. Mr. SMEDLEY CROOKE

asked the Minister of Pensions whether he will state the number of disabled ex-service men who were receiving a course of in patient treatment at the last convenient date; and, of the number in question, how many were receiving treatment allowances?

The MINISTER of PENSIONS (Major Tryon)

At the end of December last, approximately 2,400 officers and men were receiving in-patient treatment—apart from cases in mental hospitals. The precise information asked for in the latter part of the question is not available, but certainly the great majority of those receiving in-patient treatment would be in receipt of treatment allowances.
