HC Deb 20 March 1935 vol 299 c1179

Order for Second Reading read.

HON. MEMBERS

"Object."

Mr. KIRKWOOD

On a point of Order, Mr. Speaker. I should like to know what is the matter with Glasgow, when we have all these Tory Members of Parliament objecting to something with which they have nothing to do. This is a Bill in favour of Scotland.

HON. MEMBERS

"Order."

Mr. KIRKWOOD

This shows the need for Home Rule for Scotland with a vengeance. Hon. Members come here for nothing else but to object and then they walk away.

Mr. SPEAKER

That is not a point of Order.

Second Reading deferred till Tuesday next, at half-past Seven of the Clock.
