HC Deb 18 March 1935 vol 299 cc829-31
Mr. LANSBURY

May I ask the Prime Minister how far he proposes to go tonight if the suspension of the Eleven o'clock Rule is carried?

The PRIME MINISTER

The suspension of the Eleven o'Clock Rule is being moved in order to obtain the necessary Army Votes; the Report stage of the Regimental Charitable Funds (Money Resolution),

and the remaining stages of the same Bill, which I understand, is quite non-contentious.

Motion made, and Question put, That the Proceedings on Government business be exempted, at this day's Sitting, from the provisions of the Standing Order (Sittings of the House)."—[The Prime Minister.]

The House divided: Ayes, 263; Noes, 29.
