HC Deb 14 March 1935 vol 299 cc556-7
47. Mr. KENNETH LINDSAY

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is now in a position to make a statement on the subject of a departmental committee to inquire into the present position of old age pensions?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I have nothing further to add to the answer which I gave to a supplementary question by my hon. Friend on this subject on 14th February last.

Mr. LINDSAY

May I put a similar question down, say in 10 days' time, in the hope of getting a more definite answer?

Mr. CHAMBERLAIN

I gave the hon. Member a definite answer on the date to which I have referred him.
