HC Deb 14 March 1935 vol 299 cc544-5
28. Brigadier-General NATION

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Education what is the present position with regard to the replacement of the Boulevard Secondary School and the construction of a new grammar school at Hull?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the BOARD of EDUCATION (Mr. Ramsbotham)

The Board informed the local education authority last October that they were prepared to consider proposals for the replacement of the Boulevard Secondary School, and they are now awaiting the submission of plans. The grammar school was recently inspected and the report of the full inspection was sent to the governors and the local education authority on the 23rd February, 1935, for their consideration. This report does not indicate any need for the replacement of the school, but suggests certain improvements to the existing premises.
