HC Deb 11 March 1935 vol 299 c5
10. Sir JOHN WARDLAW-MILNE

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he is now in a position to give the House the purport of the conversations between representatives of China and Japan?

The LORD PRIVY SEAL (Mr. Eden)

His Majesty's Government have no information as to the course of the conversations beyond the fact that they are directed towards improving relations between the two countries.

Sir J. WARDLAW-MILNE

Is it not possible to get some further information for the House as it is some time since these conversations took place—and they are of great importance?

Mr. EDEN

I will certainly see if it is possible. I have no reason to suppose that both parties will not keep us informed in due course.
