HC Deb 07 March 1935 vol 298 c2132
64. Sir HENRY CAUTLEY

asked the Minister of Transport whether his attention has been drawn to the congestion in Crawley, due principally to the level crossing of the Southern Railway on the London-Brighton road; and what action he proposes to take?

Mr. HORE-BELISHA

Yes, Sir, and I have agreed to make a substantial grant from the Road Fund towards the cost, £90,000, of a by-pass and a new bridge over the railway which the West Sussex County Council propose to construct.
