§ The SECRETARY for MINES (Mr. Ernest Brown)During 1933, nine low-temperature carbonisation plants were in operation on a commercial or semi-commercial scale. The amount of coal carbonised amounted to nearly 318,000 tons. Figues for 1934 are not yet available.
