HC Deb 04 March 1935 vol 298 c1549
6. Captain PETER MACDONALD

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he is aware that the Argentine Ministry recently cancelled the identity cards of two men born in the Falkland Islands and issued to them new documents describing them as Argentine citizens; and whether, in view of the facts as they are, he will suggest to the Argentine Government the undesirability of such a practice?

The SECRETARY of STATE for FOREIGN AFFAIRS (Sir John Simon)

I am in telegraphic communication with His Majesty's Ambassador at Buenos Aires on this matter, but I am not yet in possession of the full facts.
