HC Deb 25 June 1935 vol 303 c931
26. Mr. LEVY

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been drawn to the fact that in 1934 the imports of starch, dextrine, farina, and potato-flour were valued at £1,395,000; and having regard to the fact that these goods are capable of manufacture in this country to the benefit of both industry and agriculture, will he state what steps are being taken in the matter?

Mr. RUNCIMAN

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given yesterday by my right hon. Friend the Minister of Agriculture to the hon. Member for Lincoln (Mr. Liddall).
