Mr. J. H. THOMASThere have been no fresh developments in the general situation, but I am sure that the House will welcome Mr. de Valera's recent statement in the Dail that the Irish Free State Government would not permit its territory to be used as a base for attacking Great Britain.
§ Mr. LOGANIs it not possible, in view of the depressed state of Merseyside, to enter into a new deal with Mr. de Valera in regard to trade?
