asked the Minister of Transport how many accidents have happened to people getting on and off tramway cars during the past year in London?

During 1934 eight persons were killed and 441 injured in London when entering or alighting from tramcars in motion. In addition, eight persons were killed while passing from the footpath to a tramcar or from a tramcar to the footpath, but information is not available as to the numbers injured in such circumstances.
