HC Deb 05 June 1935 vol 302 c1869
55. Duchess of ATHOLL

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland whether he has been able to take any steps and, if so, what to prevent an increase in the quantity of milk produced for manufacturing purposes in the area of the Scottish milk marketing scheme which will rank for the average price?

Sir G. COLLINS

The attention of the Scottish Milk Marketing Board and of the Milk Reorganisation Commission for Great Britain has been drawn to the representation made to me by the Noble Lady on this subject Beyond that, there is no action which it is open to me to take at the present time.

Duchess of ATHOLL

Has my right hon. Friend any indication that the board will follow the advice given?

Sir G. COLLINS

That will depend on the advice.
