HC Deb 31 July 1935 vol 304 c2649
46. Colonel ROPNER

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he can now state the Government's intention with regard to the report of the Poultry Reorganisation Committee?

The MINISTER of AGRICULTURE, (Mr. Elliot)

The report referred to has recently been given detailed consideration by a joint committee of the National Farmers' Union and the National Poultry Council, the two principal national organisations of producers. It is understood that these two bodies desire to await the recommendations of the Great Britain Egg and Poultry Reorganisation Commission, which is expected to report in the autumn. The Government considers that the matter is one in the first instance for the producers concerned.
