HOAREYes, Sir, but according to my present information the prohibition is only intended to apply to vessels permanently and exclusively employed in some Iranian port, and British ships entering Iranian ports from the high seas will not be affected. The matter is still under examination, and if representations are found to be necessary they will be made.
