HC Deb 25 July 1935 vol 304 c1997
24. Mr. GUY

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury which Stationery Office publications are printed in Edinburgh?

Mr. COOPER

It is the usual practice for all official publications (including Command Papers) emanating from Scottish Departments to be printed in Edinburgh. There are exceptions, namely, certain Scottish Office and Scottish Education Department publications emanating from the London offices of those departments which for reasons of urgency or expediency are printed in London and Statutory Rules and Orders which are necessarily printed in London as stated in the reply given to my hon. Friend on the 18th July.

Mr. GUY

Seeing that the Scottish Education Department is now being concentrated in Edinburgh, could arrangements not be made for all Scottish departmental publications to be printed in Edinburgh, which has a certain reputation for printing?

Mr. COOPER

I cannot answer that question definitely without notice, but I should think that such an arrangement will probably be made.
