Mr. M. MacDONALDAccording to the latest information, the surplus balances of Palestine at the 30th of June last amounted to £5,587,837. In the financial year 1934–35 revenue amounted to £5,462,633 and expenditure to £3,230,010.
§ 55. Mr. JANNERasked the Secretary of State for the Colonies the values of exports and imports of Palestine for 1934 and the first six months of 1935, respectively, so far as Great Britain and Palestine were jointly concerned?
Mr. M. MacDONALDThe total value of imports into Palestine in 1934 was £15,200,000, of which £3,020,000 came from the United Kingdom. The total value of exports from Palestine in 1934 was £3,250,000, of which £1,750,000 went to the United Kingdom. Figures for the first six months of 1935 are not yet available.
