HC Deb 24 July 1935 vol 304 cc1818-9
19. Sir JOHN WALLACE

asked the First Lord of the Admiralty whether he is prepared to recommend that fresh consideration should now be given by the Board of Admiralty to the future status of Rosyth naval base?

Sir B. EYRES MONSELL

The position of Rosyth is constantly before the Admiralty in connection with the developments of the international situation, but as stated in the reply given by my hon. Friend on the 10th July no change in its status is at present contemplated.

Sir J. WALLACE

On account of the unsatisfactory nature of that reply, I beg to give notice that I shall raise the whole question on the Motion for the rising of the House for the Recess.
