§ Mr. HORE-BELISHAThe assumption of my hon. Friend's question is, I am happy to say, incorrect. There has been an appreciable decline both in the number of deaths and in the number of injuries on the roads this year as compared with last. The decrease is, of course, to be ascribed to the many measures taken to promote road safety and to the co-operation of the public.
§ Mr. GUYWhile thanking my right hon. Friend for his reply and his correction, may I ask him whether he will pay more attention to street lighting, from the safety point of view?
