§ The UNDER-SECRETARY of STATE for AIR (Sir Philip Sassoon)As already announced, it has been decided to afford financial assistance to the gliding movement, within a maximum of £5,000 a year for a period of five years. A draft scheme for the allocation and administration of this subsidy, submitted by the recently reconstituted British Gliding Association, has been accepted in principle.
