Mr. ALAN TODD (for Mr. HALLCAINE)asked the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been called to the proposals of the Rumanian Government to repudiate in part the recent debt agreement signed with the British Government this year; and whether any representations have been made on this subject?
§ Lieut - Colonel COLVILLEHis Majesty's Government are aware that the terms of the payments agreement of 8th February are not being observed. The matter has formed the subject of diplomatic representations, as the result of which a Rumanian delegation has come to London and discussions are now proceeding.
