HC Deb 10 July 1935 vol 304 c327
53. Miss RATHBONE

asked the Minister of Labour whether he will request the Statutory Committee on Unemployment Insurance to report on the working of the Anomalies Act as it affects the claims of married women?

The PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY to the MINISTRY of LABOUR (Lieut.-Colonel Muirhead)

The working of the Married Women's Regulation was reviewed in 1933 by the Advisory Committee appointed under the Unemployment Insurance (No. 3) Act, 1931, and was amended in accordance with the Committee's recommendations. I do not think that there is ground for a fresh review of the matter by the Statutory Committee at the present time.
