Resolved, That, for the purposes of any Act of the present Session to make provision for the establishment of a criminal lunatic asylum in Scotland, and for purposes connected therewith, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by Parliament—

  1. (1) of any expenses incurred in respect of the establishment, maintenance, and management of any criminal lunatic asylum established in Scotland in pursuance of the said Act and of the maintenance and treatment of persons detained therein; and
  2. (2) of any expenditure incurred by an Advisory Committee appointed in pursuance of the said Act, including travelling and other personal expenses incurred by members of the Committee, to such extent as may be sanctioned by the Prisons Department for Scotland with the consent of the Treasury."—(King's Recommendation signified.)—[The Solicitor-General for Scotland.]
