HC Deb 04 July 1935 vol 303 cc1995-6
28. Mr. BURNETT

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether he is aware that a rebate of 10 per cent. is being refused on foreign pitch-pine decking for supply to local shipyards when it is cut in British mills, whereas in the case of the United States of America, decking cut in American mills for supply to local shipyards 10 per cent. rebate is given; and will he take action in the matter in the interests of the British saw-milling industry?

Mr. COOPER

If my hon. Friend will give me particulars of the case he has in mind, I will have inquiry made.
