Mr. ISAAC FOOTasked the Minister of Transport what stage has been reached in his communications with the British Medical Association as to the connection between the consumption of alcoholic liquor by motor drivers and public safety an the roads; and whether his communications with the association have taken the form of specific questions?
§ Mr. HORE-BELISHAI have asked the British Medical Association to let me have any observations that they may be able to make on this subject in the light of the existing knowledge and experience of the medical profession and have had their assurance that the 1281 matter will be dealt with with the least possible delay. In fact a special Sub-Committee of the British Medical Association is holding its first meeting to-day. I am also in communication with the Medical Research Council.
