5. Commander OLIVER LOCKERLAMPSON

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether he will make any visit to the Soviet Government con- ditional upon its agreement to discuss the debts still due to private British nationals?

Sir J. SIMON

I cannot add to the reply which I gave in answer to a question by the right hon. Gentleman the Leader of the Opposition on the 25th February.

Commander LOCKER-LAMPSON

Can my right hon. Friend say whether he is likely to be able to give an answer in the near future?

Sir J. SIMON

I referred to that matter in the reply to which I have just referred, and to that reply I cannot at present add anything.

Colonel WEDGWOOD

Does the right hon. Gentleman realise that the people of this country would appreciate very much a visit to Moscow by the right hon. Gentleman?
