§ 4. Mr. BURNETTasked the Secretary of State for India to what services recruited by. the Secretary of State the right to premature retirement on proportionate pension extends; and how many 752 officers of these services have availed themselves of these pensions since 1919, inclusive?
§ Sir S. HOAREEligibility to retire on proportionate pension is at present confined to members of the All-India Services and persons holding posts, other than listed posts, borne on the cadres of those services who were appointed or selected for appointment before 1st January, 1920, and who are not permanently employed directly under the Governor-General in Council.
I will circulate a list of the All-India Services in the OFFICIAL REPORT. The total number of officers who retired on proportionate pension between November, 1921, when the scheme was introduced, and the end of 1934 is 599.
§ Following is the list of All-India Services:
- The Indian Civil Service.
- The Indian Police Service.
- The Indian Forest Service.
- The Indian Forest Engineering Service.
- The Indian Educational Service.
- The Indian Agricultural Service.
- The Indian Service of Engineers.
- The Indian Veterinary Service.
- The Indian Medical Service (Civil).
