§ Sir K. WOODThe number of persons in receipt of old age pensions under or by virtue of the Contributory Pensions Acts on 30th September, 1935, was 1,741,840, and the number under the Old Age Pensions Acts, 1908 to 1924, independently of the Contributory Pensions Acts, was 688,690.
