§ Major TRYONThe rates of pay of the staff employed by the British Broadcasting Corporation are, under Clause 7 of its Charter, a matter for the Corporation to determine. I understand, however, that the Corporation pays rates of wages and observes conditions of labour not less favourable than those recognised by trade unions for the grades concerned.
