HC Deb 10 December 1935 vol 307 c743
68. Sir J. NALL

asked the Minister of Agriculture what quantity of bacon has been produced in the United Kingdom during the present year to the latest available date; and what quantities were produced in the corresponding periods of 1933 and 1934?

Mr. RAMSBOTHAM

The quantity of bacon produced in the United Kingdom in the first ten months of this year is estimated at 2,387,000 cwt. The corresponding figure for 1934 is 1,797,000 cwt. These figures do not include the output of small curers not registered under the Great Britain Bacon Marketing Scheme. I regret that I have not any corresponding information for 1933.

The Average Prices of the Principal Descriptions of Imported Wheat for the five years ended 1931, together with the Average Price of Home-grown Wheat as ascertained under the Corn Returns Act, 1882, and the Corn Sales Act, 1921, are as follows:—
