asked the Secretary for Mines the number of persons killed and seriously injured in the mining industry during 1935, and the causes of the accidents?

Captain CROOKSHANK

The figures for the 11 months, January to November, 1935, at mines under the Coal Mines Acts, are 765 killed and 3,008 seriously injured. As the remainder of the reply involves a statistical statement I will, with the hon. Member's permission, circulate it in the OFFICIAL REPORT.
